AviNet® Fixed Wireless Broadband
AviNet Fixed Wireless Broadband (FWB) is a cost-effective way to bring “last mile” IP connectivity to your location. Using open standards, ARINC can customize a solution to meet your connectivity needs. Point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links are used, and ranges of up to 15 miles are typical.
AviNet Fixed Wireless Broadband can also be used instead of or in addition to a wired local area network. As an alternative to a wired solution, AviNet FWB can be deployed more rapidly and more cost effectively than a wired LAN. As a complement to a wired infrastructure, AviNet FWB can provide a diverse path for redundant connectivity—especially important in circumstances where single entry points for circuitry, even from diverse service providers, represent a potential single point of failure.
Where applicable, AviNet FWB can be engineered to use the 4.9 GHz band for services in support of public safety.
Secure and reliable, AviNet FWB provides robust security at layer 2, which can be augmented using VLANs and IPSec tunneling. Quality of Service extends to the wireless link between the access point and your premises equipment, and can be defined by protocol, source/destination port, and by source/destination IP address.
