With MxSIM^TM, ARINC now offers a self-contained aircraft maintenance training product that provides more features and capabilities than any practical maintenance training device in the marketplace today. This low-cost, PC-based real-time simulation system provides high-fidelity hardware and virtual hardware training capabilities all in one product.

The MxSIM architecture can be easily used for part task trainer applications or as robust integrated systems trainers. Its reusable open architecture and COTS computational hardware make it affordable, adaptable, and easily upgradeable. User/operator (Instructor Station) features provide intuitive full simulation control, on-the-fly diagnostics, student action monitoring and reporting, free-play operation, scenario-based operation, malfunction insertion, freeze, reset, record, playback, and capability for lesson plan development.
