UATP Card System
Founded in 1936, the Universal Air Travel Plan, Inc.
(UATP) is the world's first corporate travel charge system.
Its UATP card is a widely used corporate travel credit
card, issued by many of the world's major airlines to
valued corporate customers, and is accepted as a form
of payment by more than 200 air and rail carriers worldwide.
The UATP card offers the lowest administrative cost of
any available charge product and provides the most detailed,
consolidated, and centralized billing for corporate customers.
Direct billing by individual airlines allows corporate
customers to be credited for all flight activities,
and secures the maximum benefit from their loyalty agreements.
ARINC has been awarded a seven-year contract
to design, develop, and maintain a new credit card transaction
processing system for the card. The current UATP Card
System uses airline-specific technology and is accessible
only to authorized card issuers and air and rail ticket
sellers. ARINC has been asked to redesign the UATP Card
System for more flexible access by travel agencies and
airlines.
Features
ARINC solution will allow diverse users to submit transactions
and perform database queries using a variety of access methods.
It provides for the use of Web services, secure Internet,
and ISO 8583, and offers automated voice response in addition
to airline-proprietary access methods. |
