Logistics Automation
Inventory Management and Tracking Solutions
Using Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) and Unique Identification (UID) mandated by the U.S. Department of Defense, the ARINC Huntsville team provides enhanced asset visibility to streamline all phases of day-to-day military supply and maintenance operations.
Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE)
To effectively track inventory and inspection records of ALSE equipment, military units need automated systems that are significantly less time-consuming than manual entry and enable a higher level of accuracy. The ALSE web-based application uses a Microsoft Internet browser to manage records, improve business efficiency, and process flow, and provide customizable reports. As equipment is accepted “over the counter” for either initial issue inspection or 180-day inspection, the ALSE system matches the individual personnel to the equipment.
Arms Room Management System (ARMS)
ARMS was developed to provide real-time information on the location and condition of Army assets initialized with UIDs. Asset visibility enhances and streamlines day-to-day operations through all phases of supply and maintenance. The automated web-based inventory management system tracks weapons, maintains historical records, customizes reports, and provides Master Authorization Lists (MAL) managed by the Command Group.
Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE)
Operations depend heavily on OCIE to maintain inventory systems for efficient use of equipment, inventory management, identification of mission required items, and tracking individual pieces of equipment. The automated, portable management system is designed to give clothing and equipment managers greater asset visibility and accountability, to save time, reduce errors, and easily produce reports in every phase of OCIE operations.
Tool Room Management System (TRMS)
The Tool Room Module gives the Army and its contractors full tracking capabilities for tool transactions, storage, and maintenance. Designed to work in a garrison environment or as a standalone deployable system, the inventory and accountability manager utilizes AIT for automated issue and receipt of tools, manages Test Measurement Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), customizes reporting, and maintains accurate historical records.
Unique Identification (UID) Solutions
The DoD standard for Identification Marking of U.S. Military property is Item UID (IUID)—an asset tracking system that uses encoded data to distinguish tangible items. IUID compliance and verification is executed from desktop or handheld devices, enables the visibility units need to maximize efficiency, and provides a powerful, customizable reporting tool.
Inventory Tracking Management System (ITMS)
To reduce the time a soldier has to spend doing inventory as much as possible while increasing accuracy, the ITMS Automated Information System (AIS)—a wireless barcode scanner—was developed to record and manage resources. ITMS provides valuable flexibility, enhances visibility in supply activities, and delivers a solution for non-networked mobile users.
